The Challenge:
Fishpond needed a lifestyle and travel pack that could credibly live outside the fly fishing category without abandoning the brand identity that made them trusted in it.

As Lead Designer and Developer, I drove the creative direction of the River Bank Backpack — bringing a modern material story and travel-focused feature set to a brand known for technical fishing gear, while keeping subtle nods to the angler's world throughout.

• Organic waxed cotton exterior with an upgraded wax blend for durability and weather resistance — a material choice that earns its look with use
• Dual side webbing with tension buckles for lashing a rod tube, tripod, or extra layer — fishing utility reframed for travel
• Dedicated padded laptop sleeve with dual access for airport-ready usability
• YKK AquaGuard® zippers and ripstop interior lining carried over from Fishpond's technical fishing line

The Result:
The River Bank Backpack anchors Fishpond's FP Field lifestyle collection — a modern, travel-ready pack that expanded the brand's reach without losing the identity that defines it.
