5.11 Range Master Line

5.11 Tactical needed a premium range bag line that could meet the organizational demands of serious sport shooters — a category crowded with products that looked the part but fell short on actual usability at the range.

The Challenge:
Existing range bags treated organization as an afterthought. Shooters were improvising with generic pouches that didn't fit their bag, couldn't stack cleanly, and had to be repacked every session. 5.11 needed a cohesive system, not just another bag.

• No unified organizational system across bag sizes
• Sport shooters needed purpose-built storage for pistols, mags, rounds, holsters, and belts
• Product had to uphold 5.11's reputation for durability and MOLLE-first modularity

The Solution:
As Lead Designer across the full Range Master line, I developed all three bag formats — Qualifier, Duffel, and Backpack — along with the color, material, and CMF direction, built around a modular pouch-in-pouch organization system that worked consistently across the entire family.

• Modular Range Master pouches sized and designed to nest inside every bag in the line
• 500D nylon main body with compression-molded EVA lids for structure and durability
• CMF rooted in classic 5.11 values — MOLLE webbing throughout, YKK zippers, Slate and Ranger Green colorways
• Each bag ships as a set with a single pistol case and small and medium Range Master pouches included

The Result:
The Range Master line became 5.11's flagship range bag collection — a fully realized product family where every piece worked independently and as part of a larger system.
